The Bluff...of Mass City....and of Rockland

The Bluff now has two locations, conveniently located in Mass City and Rockland.  Both are at the south end of of "Big Snow Country".  The Mass City-Rockland area is a haven for the die hard in search of deep powder.  This is due to the large amounts of LES that falls in our area each winter.

Located at the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula, Mass City-Rockland offer the same (or more) LES (lake effect snow) as areas further to the north.  For many of our guests it translates into nearly two hours less time driving...more time to PLAY!  You will also find that the traffic volumes are normally much lower than in some of the bigger towns to the north...less traffic=more fun!

The Bluff of Mass is located across the street from Trail 3 (Bill Nichols Trail) and very near the intersections of Trails 12, 13 (Mass City).  The Bluff of Rockland is just a few blocks from Trail 13 (Pioneer Trail).  Within minutes you will be riding in any direction, many popular loops as well as off trail riding that this area is known for.  For summer ATV'ers, Mi Trale now sports a new map with over 500 miles of marked atv trails to encounter.  We are also located within minutes of the Caledonia Mine and the Adventure Mine, both great places to visit.

Your hosts, Matt and Kandice Wiesen have offered lodging in the area since 2006 and enjoy making your stay comfortable and memorable.  As members of the Superior Snowmobile Club and Mi Trale, they ride the groomer regularly and are involved in both clubs to help make both sports fun and safe for years to come.
